By means of craft demonstration, dance, games and music, the center portrays the culture and daily life of the Polynesian islanders in Hawaii. You can tour the facility during the day and see a show in the evening.
- Feast your eyes on the splendor of Waikiki, a suburb of Honolulu. With its beautiful stretch of oceanfront beach, Waikiki is easy to reach and offers all the amenities and entertainment of a modern city.
- Honor your heroes in Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial. You can actually see the remains of the sinking ship USS Arizona protruding up from the sea. The Visitors Center provides historical information on the harbor and the Japanese attack. There is a ferry that shuttles visitors out to the actual memorial.
- Get close up and personal to denizens of the sea in Maui Ocean Center. Walk thru their glass tunnel and see the sharks, rays, turtles and all kinds of sea creatures in huge aquariums.
- Satisfy your tastes buds with exotic Hawaiian food available in the many restaurants dotting the islands. Eat one meal that is truly Hawaiian. Traditional dishes like chicken long rice, kalua pork, laulau, lomi-lomi salmon, poi and squid luau are truly authentic and will introduce you to the true tastes of the islands.
- Go snorkeling within sight of the Captain Cook Monument at Kealakekua Bay, a historical site famous for its extraordinary clear water, prancing and spinning dolphins amidst vivid coral reefs filled with fish of all colors.
